BSES MG HOSPITAL OBSERVES
WORLD HEALTH DAY OBESITY CAMP ORGANIZED ON 7th APRIL 2009
The BSES Municipal General Hospital is a 130
bed multi-specialty hospital located opposite Andheri West Railway
Station and managed by the BRAHMA KUMARIS Global Hospital &
Research Center Trust. It presents a new holistic model of health
care by combining modern medicine and spiritual approaches through
medical research and outreach programmes.
An Obesity Camp for the benefit of citizens of western suburbs
was organized by us on 7th April 2009 on the occasion of the World
Health Day where Dr. Sanjay Borude, Obesity Surgeon, well known
Obesity Surgeon guided the participants on how to treat obesity
which is a major health problem in the Metropolitan cities. Patients
who had undergone surgery for treatment of their obesity shared
their postoperative experiences and life styles. Body Composition
Analysis and Body Mass Index (BMI) tests were conducted for the
benefit of the participants free of cost.
The Hospital undertakes major surgeries for Cancer, Laproscopic
Surgery, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Joint Replacement,
Neuro Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate, ENT,
Opthalmology besides General and Gynecological Surgeries. It has
recently added dedicated operation theatre for operations on heart
and a 10 bedded intensive coronary care Unit.
